The Universe Fucking Sucks

July 15th, 2010 · No Comments

When I pulled into my in-laws driveway this evening to pick up my dog, I saw that I’d missed my dad calling.  There was no voice mail, and for some random reason, I found myself thinking that he’d called to tell me his mom had died.  I shook the thought from my head.  I knew [...]

For the few of you who don’t already know this, the second round of IVF that we did at the end of the year last year WORKED!
Holy crap, we’re gonna be parents!
I’ll be 11 weeks pregnant tomorrow with a due date of 9/2/2010.

A Good Shopping Experience

November 27th, 2009 · No Comments

I’ve been losing weight lately courtesy of the Metformin. I hadn’t
realized just how much weight I’ve lost until I went clothing
shopping.
First stop was J.C. Penney. They had jeans on sale for 13.99 a pair. I
discovered that I can fit into loose jeans with a 36″ waist, and that
it won’t be long before I can steal [...]

Seriously?!

November 9th, 2009 · No Comments

So, the husband is FINALLY going to graduate in December.  However, as with most men of his age bracket, his penmenship is THE SUCK.  Which means that yours truly gets to address the announcement envelopes.
As one who is a throwback to times and traditions that have fallen by the wayside, I’ve already consulted etiquette guides [...]

A Few Days = 2 Weeks

July 5th, 2009 · No Comments

It’s taken two weeks to start getting stuff listed in my Etsy shop.   What I’ve listed (not including the two reserved items) isn’t all of what I have ready to list.  My plan is to see how much interest what I do have up generates and then I’ll go from there.
Link to my Etsy shop:  [...]

Listless and Bored!

June 21st, 2009 · No Comments

I have a wonderful job.  It pays the bills, has a pretty impressive benefit package, and in this time of economic turmoil, it’s secure.  (Something about how people don’t want to give up running water or the ability to flush even when they’re broke) And yet, I still feel the need to complain!
I think that [...]

Belly Bombs!

May 31st, 2009 · No Comments

For some unexplainable reason, I’ve been craving the burritos from Allsup’s lately.  No worries, there’s no chance I could be pregnant.  Anyway, a good friend of mine and his finacee went to Albuquerque to pick her daughter up from her sister’s house.  So, I did what anyone in my desperate situation would do.  I begged [...]

Gruesome.

March 6th, 2009 · No Comments

I had another surgery followup appointment today, and learned why I’ve still been unable to breathe through my nose.  The scabs in my nostrils were that large.  Cue the EEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!111eleventy-one! And OMFG did it hurt to have them (and the stitches that were embedded in them) yanked out.  By the time the doc realized that [...]

Night and Day Difference Already!

February 25th, 2009 · No Comments

Yesterday was the day I finally got relief from my sinus issues!
While my nose is still hella sore and oozing snot tinged with blood, I can still tell a HUGE difference.
While I was unconscious, the inside of my septum was straightened – the deviation was never visable externally, a polyp was removed, my turbinates were [...]

This was different.

I seem to recall having taken either this political quiz or one similar to it before and scoring less left and less libertarian:
My Political Views
I am a left social libertarian
Left: 5.99, Libertarian: 4.34

Political Spectrum Quiz
Even more interesting were my foreign policy and culture results (though I don’t recall those breakdowns having been offered previously.

My Foreign [...]
